Join a Very Special Zoom on Biblical Values
What are biblical values? How do you find and sort them? Why do different people get different ideas from the Bible? What does the Bible really say about gender, sexuality, and the family?
These are the kinds of questions we will put to one of the world’s most famous thinkers on these issues, Dr. John J. Collins, of the Yale University Divinity School. He has taught a course on biblical values at Yale for years, and in 2018 published a book on the subject.
On Monday, October 19, at 7:00 p.m., Professor Collins will join our regular session of the Northern Illinois Online Bible Study. This jolly group has been meeting now for over 25 weeks for a weekly one-hour Zoom session. At the present time the group is in the middle of a course called “Women in the Bible.” And as we proceed with our discussion of gender, sexuality, and family issues, Dr. Collins has agreed to join our discussion on October 19.
Since this session will be so special, we invite you to join us even if you have not been part of our discussions up to the present. We know you will be blessed by finding out how to put God’s justice and compassion at the very center of your own values.
If you wish to join us, please contact Pastor John Seraphine by email at email@example.com, or by phone at 815-895-9736.
